We're thrilled to bring you two exciting new updates that will help you get even more out of KSUK! Whether you're a seasoned pro aiming for new records or just starting out and looking to improve, these features are designed to enhance your experience. Plus, we're making KSUK more accessible than ever with expanded language support.

Feature 1: Uncover Your Track Performance with Lap Time Distribution!

Have you ever wondered how your best lap compares to the broader community at your favorite track? Now you can see it at a glance! We've introduced a brand new chart that visualizes lap time distribution over the past 30 days for any track you've driven.

Lap Time Distribution Chart Example

What is a Lap Time Distribution Chart?

Think of it like this: when many drivers complete laps at a track, their times will naturally vary. Some will be faster, some slower, and many will fall somewhere in the middle. A distribution chart helps us understand the spread of these lap times.

To create this chart, we take all the lap times recorded on a specific track within the last 30 days and group them into "bins" – essentially, small time ranges. We then count how many laps fall into each bin. For example, one bin might be 1:30.000 to 1:30.999, and the chart will show you how many laps were completed within that second.

Who Benefits from This Feature?

This new visualization is a fantastic tool for:

  • Learners: If you're new to a track, you can quickly see the typical lap times and understand where you stand. It's a great way to set realistic goals and track your progress as you improve.
  • Intermediate Drivers: Get a better sense of the "average" pace and identify target lap times to push yourself.

A Note for Record Chasers:

While this chart provides a valuable overview of general community performance, it's important to note that the "binning" process means the data isn't precise down to the hundredth of a second. This aggregate view might not be perfectly suited for those of you literally chasing hundredths to beat track records.

Stay Tuned!

For our dedicated record-setters and those craving even more granular analysis, we hear you! We're actively working on future features that will allow you to compare your times against more specific data sets and provide the extreme accuracy you need to shave off those crucial milliseconds. This new distribution chart is just the first step in giving you deeper insights into your track performance.

Where to find it: Head to Profile > Stats, then click on the track you want to view.

Feature 2: KSUK Goes Global with New Language Support!

KSUK's community is rapidly expanding beyond the UK, and we're incredibly excited to see our passionate users growing worldwide! To ensure everyone has the best possible experience, we're proud to announce the initial rollout of multi-language support.

You can now enjoy KSUK in:

  • English (en)
  • Dutch (nl)
  • German (de)
  • Danish (da)
  • French (fr)
  • Polish (pl)

Language Selection Example

Why is this important?

(Despite our naming being KartingStats UK) our goal is to provide the same seamless features and utility to all our users, regardless of their native language. As we've seen traffic and engagement from various countries, it became clear that breaking down language barriers is crucial for a truly inclusive and global platform.

What's next for Localization?

This is just the beginning of our localization journey! As KSUK continues to grow, we'll be diligently working to:

  • Add more languages: We're committed to expanding our language offerings to support even more of our diverse community.
  • Provide full language overlays: Our aim is to fully localize our overlay creation tool meaning the videos generated from KSUK will have the option of being in your chosen language.

We believe these updates will make KSUK an even more powerful and accessible platform for drivers around the world. We're especially eager to hear your feedback on the new languages, especially if you notice any translation issues or have suggestions for improvement. Your input is invaluable as we strive to make KSUK the best it can be for everyone.
